Privacy policy

Last updated July 18, 2026

Draft. This policy describes our current practices accurately but is still under review. It will lose this notice once it's finalized.

What we collect

Demo requests. When you submit the “request a demo” form we store what you typed (name, company, work email, and fleet size) in our database, and use it to get back to you about a demo. That's the only thing it's used for.

Anonymous product analytics. We use PostHog to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, features used (like the savings calculator), errors encountered, and interaction recordings (session replays) of anonymous visits. There are no user accounts, and we don't build profiles of identified individuals. Analytics stays anonymous.

Calculator inputs. If you enter a ZIP code in the savings calculator, we forward it to the U.S. Department of Energy's utility-rate service (NREL/OpenEI) to fetch electricity plans for your area. It isn't stored with anything that identifies you.

What we never do

We don't sell your information, we don't share it with data brokers, and we don't run advertising trackers. No ad pixels, no cross-site tracking cookies.

Cookies & local storage

The site sets analytics cookies/local storage from PostHog so a visit holds together as one session. Blocking them in your browser breaks nothing.

Retention & your choices

Demo-request details are kept while we're in touch about a demo. Want yours corrected or deleted, or want a copy of what we hold? Email info@elementrailer.com and we'll take care of it.

Changes

If our data practices change, for example when customer accounts launch, this page changes with them, with the date below updated.
